Logic Insights
Analyze the business processes in a project for health, SLA risk, bottlenecks and standards, simulate completion times, and get redesign proposals.
Applies toDataverse
Logic Insights analyzes the business processes you design with Process Orchestrator and tells you how well they are designed to perform: how complex they are, whether their SLAs are achievable, where the bottlenecks are, who carries the risk, and what to change. It scores each process, simulates completion times, audits processes against process-management standards, and proposes improvements ranked by impact and effort.
Logic Insights only reads your project. It never changes it, so you can use it against production.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”The project must contain business processes built with Process Orchestrator.
Analyze a project
Section titled “Analyze a project”- Sign in to Logic Insights. In Analysis Setup, select the Project and the Processes to include.
- Select Analyse Project. The analysis status shows progress as each part completes.
- Open the Portfolio view for the big picture: health across all processes, weak areas, similar processes and people who are overloaded across processes.
- Open a process in the Process Explorer for the details.
- Use the chat panel (Ask about this process… or Ask about this portfolio…) to ask questions in plain language.
- Select Export HTML to share a report.
Process Explorer
Section titled “Process Explorer”Each process has a health score and tabs grouped by purpose.
| Group | Tabs | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| Overview | Overview | The process’s health score, risk tier and main findings. |
| Analysis | Structural, SLA, Automation, Governance, Personas, Standards | Complexity and design defects, whether the SLAs can be met, how much is automated, separation-of-duties and control risks, who does what, and how the process measures up against standards. |
| Visualize | Graph, Paths, Timeline, VSM, RACI | The process as a graph, its main paths, a timeline, a value stream map and a responsibility matrix. |
| Intelligence | Simulation, Maturity, Benchmarking, Regulatory, Redesign | Simulated completion times and bottleneck risk, a maturity rating, comparison with good practice, regulatory considerations, and redesign proposals. |
Use Compare Processes to compare processes side by side, and the Redesign Planner to work through improvement proposals.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”Settings lets you tune how processes are scored for a project, for example the thresholds for complexity, SLA coverage, automation, separation of duties, actor load and rework. You can also choose:
- The executive audience for summaries: Generic (CTO / COO), CTO — technical risk & automation, COO — operations & SLA exposure or Board — strategic, risk & ROI.
- The redesign appetite: Conservative — low-risk, incremental, Balanced — impact vs. effort or Aggressive — bold structural change.
Project data and settings are available only to members of the project.
How it behaves
Section titled “How it behaves”- Repeatable. The same process design produces the same metrics, so results are comparable across processes and over time.
- Design, not history. Logic Insights analyzes how processes are designed: stages, transitions, SLAs, assignments and automation.
- Runs as you. It analyzes only what you can read.
- Private jobs. Only the person who started an analysis can see and steer it while it runs.
Example
Section titled “Example”Your case-management portfolio has eight processes. Logic Insights shows that the Complaint Handling process has a low SLA score: one stage carries most of the SLA, and the simulation shows a real chance of missing the target. Personas shows that a single team approves every escalation across three processes. With the redesign appetite set to Balanced, the Redesign tab proposes splitting the review stage and adding a backup approver, each with an effort estimate.
