Logic Assist

Describe logic in plain language and let Logic Assist build or update it in your project, checked against your live schema and created only with your approval.

Applies toDataverse

Logic Assist (long form: Logic Fabric Assist) turns a plain-language description into Logic Fabric artifacts. It checks the tables, columns and choices you mention against your live Dataverse schema, looks for an existing artifact that already does the job, generates the artifact, verifies and repairs it, and then, once you approve, creates it in your project. It can also make a targeted change to an existing logic block or logic flow.

Family Artifact types
Logic blocks Formula, Validation, Validation Set, Decision Table, Decision Tree
Flows and automation Logic Flow, Recipe, Business Process
Events Event Definition, Event Handler
Settings Configuration, Localized Resource, Schedule

Generated logic flows can use every flow step, including Queue, Recalculate Rollup, Share Record, Team Membership and Execute SDK Message.

Choose the Mode before you start:

Mode What it does Type and name
Single Creates one artifact from your description. You pick the Type. Name is optional; it is auto-named if left blank.
Suite Splits a larger brief into several artifacts, works out the order they depend on each other, and builds them one by one. Shown as Auto · per node and Auto · per artifact: Logic Assist picks each artifact’s type and name from the plan.
Update Changes an existing logic block or logic flow in place. You pick the Artifact to update from the project’s Logic blocks and Logic flows.

Update works on logic blocks and logic flows only. To change a recipe, business process, event, schedule, configuration or localized resource, create a new one with Single, or edit it in the designer.

Option What it does Notes
Project The project to build in and check against. Required to create anything.
What should exist? / What should change? Your description, in plain language. The label depends on the mode.
Entities Every table the artifact reads. Their columns and choices are checked against the live schema. Optional. Leave blank for pure calculations.
Enrich the brief Refines your description into a precise, schema-checked brief before generating. Single and Suite only.
Review before generating Pauses after enrichment so you approve or edit the brief. Needs Enrich the brief.
Ground references Verifies every table, column and choice against the live schema. Leave on.
Create in Dataverse Writes the artifact when it validates. Turn it off for a dry run that generates and checks without creating anything. Single and Suite only.
Self-heal depth The maximum number of generate, verify and repair passes, from 1 to 5. More passes fix more issues but take longer.
  1. Select the Project.
  2. Set Mode to Single and choose the Type, for example Validation.
  3. Describe what should exist, for example: Block closing an opportunity as won when Est. Revenue is empty, with the message “Enter the estimated revenue before closing.”
  4. Under Entities, add opportunity.
  5. Keep Enrich the brief, Review before generating and Ground references on, and select Assist & create.
  6. If Logic Assist asks clarifying questions, answer them and select Submit answers, or select Skip — use assumptions.
  7. In Review the enriched brief, select ✓ Approve & generate, or ↻ Send back to model to have it revised.
  8. If a similar artifact already exists, Reuse an existing artifact? appears. Select Reuse this, or Create a new one instead.
  9. In Review the generated artifact before creating, check the result, rename it if you like, and select ✓ Create it. Select Cancel to stop without creating anything.
  10. When it’s done, select Open in Flowon ↗ to open the new artifact in the designer.

Set Mode to Suite and describe the whole requirement, for example: Validate that every order has a ship-to address, calculate a volume discount from the order total, and run both when an order is created. Logic Assist plans the artifacts (here a validation, a formula, a logic flow and a recipe) and shows the plan under Suite build. Select ✓ Approve & build to build them in dependency order, so each artifact can refer to the ones it needs.

If one artifact doesn’t build, This artifact didn’t build lets you edit its brief and retry, or Skip & continue with the rest. If its name is already taken, you can reuse the existing artifact or create the new one under a different name.

  1. Select the Project and set Mode to Update.
  2. In Artifact to update, choose the logic block or logic flow.
  3. Under What should change?, describe only the change, for example: Also require a Close Date when the opportunity is won.
  4. Select Review update.
  5. In Review the change before applying, read the before and after view. Logic Assist changes only what you asked and keeps every other step.
  6. Select ✓ Apply this change, or Cancel.

The before and after review is always shown in Update mode. Nothing is changed until you apply it.

  • Checked against your real schema. References to tables, columns and choices are verified against the live schema, and invented references are repaired before you see the approval card. Choice values used in query filters are corrected from the live schema.
  • Reuse before duplication. Logic Assist compares what it generated with existing artifacts by behavior, not just by name, and offers to reuse a match.
  • Runs as you. It creates only where you are allowed to create, and never in a project whose solution is managed.
  • Your runs are private. Only you can see and steer a run you started.
  • One model for all projects. The AI model is chosen by your administrator at installation. There is no per-project model choice.
